League of Indie Drum Funk FAQ

  • What is the League?

In the way that superheros stand out above the rest, so too does Indie Drum Funk. The Drum Funk community is also secretive of its identity making it hard to keep track of new releases. Therefore every week the League Roster gives an updated look at the activities of these subversive labels.

  • How can I get my release/label listed? Or why are some releases missing?

The League Roster is not supposed to be an all inclusive database. We recommend rolldabeats or discogs for that. The League Roster is focused on making releases easy to find as they come out, therefore most older releases will be missing (although we are putting in some back catalogues as we have time).
If your release is new and it is not up within a month of the official announcement, we may have missed it. Please send an email to our editor at infinitesloth@gmail.com. Keep in mind he is looking for music that matches the Indie Drum Funk vibe.

  • What are sloth picks?

Our editor, a giant sloth from the past, flags releases to make it easier for new comers to find his favorite tunes. He can't flag everything or that would defeat the purpose of having picks. It may sometimes seem arbitrary what gets picked. On the other hand we are working on a way for users to group/rate releases as well.

  • Some releases do not seem to work in the player. Why?

We don't host the material and sometimes links can go invalid or possibly they are encoded in a type of url that is not supported. Please report broken links to us: infinitesloth@gmail.com

  • How can I help?

There are plenty of things that can help the scene. Here's some:
    - Play the music as much as possible and play it at gigs. Trust us club goers can handle way more variety than they are given credit.
    - Tell your friends and subscribe to the rss feed. Loidf RSS
    - Report broken links or new releases that have been out longer than a month, but are missing to infinitesloth@gmail.com
    - Support the League Labels by going to their events and buying their goods.
    - Link our site on your webpage or blog.

  • Is the League part of Pinecone Moonshine?

No, but we have not had time to design and code a second web page.
